Breakfast: Protein bar. This programme is based on a meal replacement daily. I’m going to mix it up a little but a keto bar is a high protein and low carb way to start the day. Go for a protein bar that’s >15g protein, <10g fat and <10g carbs.
Lunch: Beef salad. Yum, I’ve added tomato puree to this salad (see photo above). Tofu is a good vegetarian option, or eggs.
Dinner: Tuna salad. Lots of fresh organic rocket, organic spinach, some feta and tuna. Organic fresh rocket is a bit bitter and this has wonderful health benefits (stimulates digestion and is shown to protect against some cancers). Also, when you get use to them, bitters create a diversity to salads that you learn to appreciate.
Snacks: twelve almonds in the morning, one orange in afternoon
Supplements: multi-vitamin, probiotic, iron supplement and fish oil capsule.
Fluids: 1.5 Litres of water, roasted dandelion tea, peppermint tea
Exercise: 45 mins interval running at the gym. This felt great - had a cold for a week last week so was nice to get back into it.
Waist: 79.9cm hehe
Thoughts and feelings: Digestion is already thanking me for this. I don't feel hungry yet. I tend to eat very slowly when I'm on a programme like this and this makes you feel fuller. Looking forward to tomorrow :D
