Half way there!
Portion sizes in weight loss are so important. They are really the key to weight loss. With each meal I'm having a palmful of protein and three large handfuls of vegetables. One handful of vegetables can be substituted for one piece of fruit. Snacks, such as almonds, you will see I'm having only a three finger portion (about twelve almonds). I'm getting lots of great nutrients even though I'm keeping portion sizes down and I'm losing weight.
Breakfast: teriyaki tofu on steamed veges
Lunch: teriyaki tofu and chicken soup. Lots of veges added to soup at the end of cooking to maintain their nutrients. Also, crushed garlic as this releases allicin which is the part of garlic that is a good anti-microbial
snack: afternoon snack only today: cacoa protein ball YUM!
Dinner: tamari roasted egg plant with chicken and sauteed rocket.
Drinks: lots of filtered water, rosehip and ginger tea, chai tea and a red wine
exercise: ½ hour bike ride
Thoughts and feelings: If you're losing weight and following a similar programme, now is a great time to start that hobby you've always wanted to do. I like to read a lot and play guitar so these things distract me if I start to feel like eating carbs.
